See and Do in Stirling
Stirling may be a city but is a relatively small and compact place that is easy to get to know and love. Due to it also being home to the University of Stirling it is surprisingly cosmopolitan and is definitely a year round destination. Within the city and nearby Bridge of Allan (the home of the University) you find restaurants to suit all tastes, swimming pools, sports centres, multiplex cinema, theatre, museums, tourist attractions, shops, pubs and clubs.
There is so much to do in the area that it would be impossible to mention everything and therefore the list below is simply a taster of things to see and do all year round. For more inspiration visit here.
Please note not all businesses are operating as advertised due to the current COVID-19 situation.

Dining Out
Stirling and the surrounding area has an excellent range of restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. To help you narrow down the choice we have produced our own restaurant guide listing some of the ones we like - and some we don't! Free copies of the guide are available in the Honesty Room.
Stirling Castle
Stirling Castle is a must see and is arguably one of the best castles in the UK. It is suitably compact and is a perfect place to visit any time of year, with the views of the surrounding countryside being amazing. If you go do not miss the restored Great Hall.

Wallace Monument
If anything we think this is better than the castle! You can't come to Stirling without visiting it. Apart from any historical significance, the views from the top will take your breath away.

Church of the Holy Rude
Very close to the castle and really worth visiting. It is the only church still in active use, apart from Westminster Abbey, to have been used for a coronation. There is no entry fee but please remember that services are still conducted there and this can affect access.
